USDA wheat export sales highlights in latest reporting week. Net sales of 862,300 metric tons (MT) were 65 percent above the previous week and 68 percent over the prior 4-week average.
Major increases were reported for Nigeria (293,000 MT, including 23,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), Japan (143,500 MT), Mexico (77,900 MT), Iraq (55,000 MT), Costa Rica (43,500 MT), unknown destinations (36,500 MT), Yemen (35,000 MT), and Italy (33,800).
Exports of 624,100 MT were 31 percent above the week earlier and 50 percent over the prior 4-week average.
The primary destinations were Nigeria (120,500 MT), Taiwan (87,900 MT), Mexico (85,200 MT), Egypt (63,000 MT), the Philippines (48,600 MT), South Korea (45,000 MT), and Colombia (38,900 MT).
