Renowned scholar and patron of Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith (MJAH) Maulana Muhammad Hussain Sheikhupuri passed away on Saturday due to heart failure at a private hospital of Sheikhupura. He was 88. His Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered on Sunday after Zuhr prayer at Company Bagh, Sheikhupura.
Maulana Muhammad Hussain Sheikhupuri was born in Amritsar, East Punjab (India) in 1918 and shifted to Pakistan in 1947.
Being an active political activist, he took part in Tehreek-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwat in 1954 and 1974, besides Tehreek-e-Nizam-e-Mustafa in 1977.
MJAH president Senator Professor Sajid Mir, who is currently in Britain, in a condolence message expressed deep sorrow and grief over demise of Maulana Sheikhupuri and prayed Almighty Allah to rest departed soul in eternal peace.
He regretted that for being in Britain, he could not attend his funeral prayer but vowed he would offer his Ghaibana (in absentia) funeral prayer in UK.
