Afghan police said on Saturday they have seized almost four tonnes of explosives from a truck in Jalalabad. Khalil Ziaee, Jalalabad police chief, told AFP the "huge amount" of explosives were found in 75 bags each containing 50 kilograms and hidden in the truck.
"Two people were arrested while carrying these explosives and are being questioned. We don't know yet if these explosives were to be used for terrorist activity," he said.
