England fast bowler Simon Jones was fined 20 percent of his match fee for gesturing at Matthew Hayden after dismissing the Australia batsman on Saturday during the second Ashes Test here at Edgbaston.
The fine, which equates to approximately 1,000 pounds, was imposed by match referee Ranjan Madugalle after Jones was reported by all the umpires, including the off-field officials, for a breach of the International Cricket Council's code of conduct, the world governing body said in a statement Sunday.
