The Spokesman and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Muhammad Ilyas Dar, on Sunday said it has come to the notice of the ministry that some registered Haj organisers are transferring their allocated quota to some other Haj group organisers.
He said it is an illegal act, and if solid evidence as available regarding registration of any Haj group organiser who is transferring the quota to some other organiser, the registration of both such organisers will be cancelled and their securities will be forfeited.
He said that intending Hajis are warned in their own interest that they should not become victim to such transaction otherwise the entire responsibility of any damage will lie on them. The spokesman said the prime minister has directed that the last date (August 15) for submission of Haj application forms for Haj scheme would not be further extended.
