River Indus was in medium flood at Chashma while it was flowing in low flood at Tarbela, Attock, Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, Sukkur and Kotri at 1900 hours, Federal Flood Commission sources told Business Recorder here on Tuesday.
Sources said all other major rivers in the country including Kabul, Chenab, Jhelum, Ravi and Sutlej were flowing normally in the middle of the monsoon season.
The daily water situation report of the Indus River System Authority indicated that total rim station inflows were 455,140 cusecs as against rim station outflows of 457,906 cusecs.
More than 200,000 cusecs water was released in the irrigation canals country-wide from Marala, Khanki, Mangla, Rasul, Panjnad headwork, and Qadirabad, Chashma, Taunsa, Guddu, Sukkur and Kotri barrages for cotton, rice, sugarcane and other Kharif crops.
