Suicide bombers have created panic throughout the world. Men are passing the days in fear and apprehension, with no peace of mind. Several hundred or thousand terrorists have tarnished the image of 1.5 billion Muslims of the world. How to save the humanity from this state of thing is the question in every body's mind.
The editorial of the daily Business Recorder, 16.7.05 bearing the title," Pulling out roots of terror," says, and suggests to do "justice" to all nations. This is the only panacea to all ills. A Quranic education center is not the breeding place of suicide terrorists.
According to General Aslam Beg (Retd), suicide bombing is the outcome of extreme barbarism. He says in an interview "-----When brutalities cross all limits, victims find little justification in living any more . He is true to the point. Because a man sacrifices money, comforts, etc when he sees others in distress. Seeing a poor hungry man one may give ten rupees another may give one hundred rupees.
This sense of sacrifice, for the benefit of others varies from person to person, depending on the mental condition, degree of oppression and affliction. In severe cases one may be ready for the supreme sacrifices, that is of his life. They may not be concerned with any ideology. Man works under the impulses of brain.
Extreme brutalities or barbarism create extreme impulse in the brain, which prompts a man to commit suicide attack. Blaming Madrasas or Quranic teaching is highly deplorable. There are millions of Quranic teaching centers in the whole Muslim world. How is it possible that a few Madrasas in Pakistan are producing suicide terrorists?
Almost all the suicide bombers are coming from the Arab Muslims who are the most affected and hardest-hit by oppression. Again .if suicide attack is for an ideology and not for cruelty, then the question arises, the Quran is read by 1.5 billion Muslims. Among them, are only a few hundred or thousand are wise enough to understand and realise the true Islamic ideology, are the rest are fools or cowards?
The Madrasas have been imparting Quranic education for the last 1400 years. They have never produced any such terrorists.
Is it the Quranic education centers and not science or the technical universities of the world which divulged the Divine message that "Killing of one innocent man is, as if, to kill the whole of mankind. Those who killed millions of innocent Jews in gas chambers or destroyed the human settlements of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by dropping atom bombs were not the products of Madrasa or Quranic education centers.
It is regrettable that what was said in the Quran and Hadees for the benefit of man, particularly the faithful, for their spiritual as well as material development, to show the superiority of Islam over all other religions is being mistaken as "Hate material."
About 25 years back, on this very plea a complaint was lodged with the Calcutta High Court to ban the Quran in India. This prompted an unprecedented violent demonstration in the neighbouring Muslim country of Bangladesh. Organisers of the case got frightened and withdrew the case. Accepting the theory of 'Hate material' in the Quran by any Muslim State will show its defeatist mentality.
And this will go in favour of the elements who have been yearning for centuries together to stop the preaching of Islam in the West. Refraining injustice and tyranny, and brutal acts of violence may put an end to the suicide attacks in a day or two.
If the leaders of the global village, namely America, UK Russia, China, Germany, India and France sit together and take a firm decision to do justice, and declare in unequivocal terms that henceforth no injustice will be done to any nation in the world. Palestinian teenagers will not have to fight with stones or sticks to face the tanks and helicopter gunships, etc. There is no reason why peace will not be restored to this global village.
In the end, the hard fact is this: to-day Muslims are oppressed and are the worst sufferers. They cry for justice, the type of which was rendered to the Muslims who fled from Makkah, by the Christian ruler the Abyssinian king Najjashi in the Prophet's (SAW) time. President Bush can be the shining star in this 21st century by doing justice to the Muslims and saving them from the clutches of the oppressive forces in Palestine, Philippines, Chechnya, Bosnia and Kashmir, putting a stop to suicide bombings, and creating an environment of peace and tranquillity.
