Kashmiri refugees on Wednesday staged protest sit in against the non-payment of subsistence allowance for three months. Hundreds of enraged refugees carrying placards gathered in front of Central Press Club while chanting slogans against rehabilitation and finance department for non payment of subsistence allowance for last three months.
The protest was organised by refugee's organisation Pasban-e-Hurriayat.
They marched towards Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Secretariat shouting slogans against commissioner rehabilitation and secretary finance.
Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Sikanadar Hayat Khan who was on way to office got his cavalcade stopped near the protestors near Quaid-e-Azam bridge and inquired about the protest and issued immediate directive to meet refugees' demands.
Protestors staged protest sit in outside Prime Minister secretariat and kept chanting slogans against rehabilitation department.
