Home Minister Sindh Rauf Siddiqi has said that local holiday will be observed in 11 districts on August 18 while in remaining 12 districts local holiday will be observed on August 25.
This he said while presiding over a meeting, held here on Wednesday to review arrangements for holding local bodies elections in peaceful manner and maintaining law, order especially on elections days.
The meeting decided that a control room will be set up in the office of Information Advisor Salahuddin Haidar from August 16-18 and August 24-25, which will be functional round the clock. This control room will remain in contact with central control rooms of Election Commission, police and Rangers. This control room will provide election related news to media.
