The election schedule of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is likely to be announced by end of this month. However, elections are to be held in coming September for the year 2005-06 The elections will be held on ten managing committee seats of the KCCI going to be vacant by end of the month. Different groups have started preparing strategy in this regard.
Leader of Businessmen Group (BMG) Saraj Kasim Teli has iannounced that the group would give equal representation to Chinoti and non-Chinoti group on to be vacant KCCI managing committee seats.
Replying to various questions of newsmen, he said that his group did not believe in language discrimination, but that all are equal.
Teli pointed out that last year BMG had given five seats to the Punjabi community out. He said that those businessmen could join BMG who wanted to serve business community without any discrimination whatsoever.
