Punjab Minister for Agriculture Arshad Khan Lodhi has directed the Director General (Extension) and Director Pest Warning to spend their maximum time in the cotton growing areas for providing guidance to cotton growers.
The minister also directed DG Extension, whose headquarters is in Lahore, to remain in Multan and closely watch the working of his wing, particularly in the cotton growing districts. He observed that in rainy season, there was a need for keeping close vigilance to protect cotton crop from any loss.
He asked DG to activate entire strength of extension wing to have close contact with cotton growers and provide them necessary guidance. He also directed the Director Pest warning to work actively in these days because cotton crop could face threat of disease due to heavy rains.
