Telenor Pakistan will officially open its GSM mobile network for commercial service in Patoki, Lahore-Patoki Road, Kharian, Gujar Khan, Kasur, Lahore-Kasur, Chiniot, Faisalabad-Chiniot Road, Wazirabad, Lahore-Wazirabad Road and Lahore-Islamabad GT Road on August 14.
Telenor celebrating Independence Day along with its 'Thanks a Million' campaign, will offer all its commercial cellular services through a network of several hundred retail outlets on central locations. In all these cities, customers will for the first time experience the successful new feature Easyload which is electronic loading of prepaid airtime.
Telenore will also offer high quality coverage to the Lahore Islamabad GT-Road.
By launching in 21 destinations and soon providing coverage to Motorway, the Telenor network will cover a population of approximately 37.50 million people including the main cities of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhelum and Peshawar.
As part of the 1 million celebrations, customers in the launching cities will also be able to participate in the ongoing 'Thanks a Million' promotion which enables all prepaid customers to participate in the lucky draw of Rs 1 million on recharge of Rs 500.
This campaign includes 50 percent reduced rates for calls from Telenor to Telenor on both post and pre-paid packages. To celebrate the growing Telenor family, customers can now make nation-wide on-net calls for as low as Rs 1.24 per minute post-paid and Rs 1.72 per minute pre-paid.
Telenor Pakistan has also recently reduced international call charges significantly. Customers can call friends and family in USA, Canada, UK, Germany and France for as low as Rs 7 per minute.
