Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim said on Sunday that organisational matters of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) would be considered after the elections of Local Bodies (LBs) and nazims.
While addressing the PML workers at Muslim League House, he said so far 109 union councillor of the PML Khushhaal Pakistan Group had been elected unopposed from various constituencies in the province.
He said the PML success graph would further increase during the elections and the party was being strengthened day by day.
Refuting the allegations of opposition about pre-poll rigging, Dr Arbab said it was the pack of lie and unfounded and vowed the elections would be free, fair and transparent.
He said that holding of local government elections a challenge and the PML workers had to be united to further strengthen the party, and asked the PML workers to show the unity and work for the reconstruction of the party as well as the country.
The Chief Minister told the workers that PML was the founding party of this country and the party had the duty to develop Pakistan and work for its growth and prosperity.
He said the PML had emerged as the vibrant, active and strong political party in Sindh and he had used every effort to take the message of the party to every nook and corner of this province.
He said a large number of people from other parties specially Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) were joining the PML in the province.
Dr Arbab said that he would sit along with PML ministers at Muslim League House after the LB elections to solve the problems of the PML workers. "President Pervez Musharraf has appreciated the performance of Sindh government, because we have been serving the people with sincerity", he said.
He said the government would focus on law and order in the province especially in the interior of Sindh.
He maintained that Khushhaal Pakistan Group would win majority seat in Larkana and Matyari, and added the PML would be reorganised in Karachi.
Earlier, Provincial Minister Nadir Akmal Khan Leghari said the PML was united under the leadership of Dr Arbab Rahim and the party was progressing in his command.
