An elected member of Punjab Assembly from PP-165 Sharqpur district Sheikhupura and the PML-N Sheikhupura President Rao Jehanzeb, reposing trust in the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi here on Thursday, announced to join PML Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) ranks.
The CM, while welcoming those joining the Pakistan Muslim League, expressed desire that political and administrative capabilities of new comers would be used. He also expressed hope that party's mass contact campaign would further be effective because of those coming in from other political parties.
He maintained the PML government strengthened the country's defence and economy. He reiterated that owing to wise policies of President General Pervaiz Musharraf the country had been put on the path of progress and prosperity while the dignity and honour of country had been raised in the comity of nations.
He pointed out the PML had gained countrywide popularity, which was furthering great agenda of peoples' service. He expressed satisfaction the political system was getting further strengthened with the gathering of political forces on a single platform. With the strengthening of PML, the process of progress and reforms would gear up.
Speaking on this occasion, member provincial assembly (MPA) Rao Jehanzeb said he joined PML having been impressed by the vision and reforms of programme of Punjab Chief Minister.
