The re-vascularisation course in Pakistan-2005 (RCP-2005) will be held at the Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) here on August 20 and 21. According to RCP-2005 Course Director, Dr Mansoor Ahmad, ischemic heart disease has taken an epidemic shape in the country and there is an emergent need for the clinician to understand its management and also to be aware of the established and new modalities like angioplasty employed in its treatment.
Through the RCP-2005, the Department of Cardiology would provide forum for broadcast of live cases from the Cath Lab to the select audience and also for dissemination of specialised information through lectures and discussions.
Similar courses on angioplasty have been held every year for the past number of years with great success at the LNH.
