In line with the golden academic traditions of Government College University Lahore, its eight students have obtained positions in various disciplines in the intermediate annual examination, 2005.
Saad Hasan Aslam of the varsity has secured second position overall by obtaining 991 marks in annual examination, 2005 of the board of intermediate & secondary education, Lahore. The varsity's students got all the three positions in the pre-medical group (among boys), two positions (2nd and 3rd) in the pre-engineering group (among boys) and two positions (Ist and 2nd) in the general science group (among boys).
In the pre-medical group, Muhammad Awais Aftab roll number 4931 got 987 marks, Hamza Hashmi roll number 4930 got 982 marks and Muhammad Usama roll number 4752 got 976 marks and stood first, second and third, respectively. In the pre-engineering group, Saad Hasan Aslam roll number 16768 got 991 marks and Saqib Ijaz Sadiq Bajwa roll number 16766 got 973 marks and stood second and third, respectively. Likewise in the general science group, Hassan Mazhar roll number 29410 got 938 marks and Muhammad Raza Shah Hamdani roll number 29413 got 917 marks and stood first and second, respectively.
