Cadets of Hassanabdal Cadet College have led in the intermediate examinations of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi (BISER) as they took three top positions in the examinations.
Hassan Mansoor (Roll No 740057) of Hassanabdal Cadet College and Muhammad Rashid (750891) of Military College Jhelum bagged first position jointly with 965 marks while Haroon Ayub (740063) and Bilal Ahmed Raja (750157) of Hassanabdal Cadet College were declared second and third, respectively, with 957 and 956 marks.
The results of intermediate part II and I were announced here on Saturday at Government College for Women Satellite Town. Provincial Minister for Local Government and Law Muhammad Basharat Raja was chief guest. BISER Chairman Dr Tariq Jalil presided over the function, which was attended by the people from all walks of like besides outstanding students and their parents.
According to results of the Intermediate part-I and II, announced by the controller BISER, 83,236 candidates appeared in the examinations out of which 41,586 have passed the examination with the average of 50.33 per cent.
In Intermediate Part II, 42,286 candidates (male 17,262 and female 25,024) have appeared out of which 25,092 (male 7,919 and female 17,173) have passed the examinations while the toll of failures was 16,268 (male 8,707 and female 7,561).
IN PART I: 40,403 candidates (male 16,158 and female 24,245) have appeared out of which 16,494 candidates (male 4,228 and female 12,266) have passed the examination while 6,804 (male 4,635 and female 2,169) have failed.
Regular candidates in part II were 23464 (male 9,135 and female 14,329) out of which 15,877 candidates (male 4,918 and female 10,959) have passed the examinations while 7,240 (male 3,946 and female 3,294) have failed. In part I: 30,378 candidates (male 13,159 and female 17,219) appeared as regular out of which 12,514 (male 3,566 and female 8,948) have passed and 5,261 (male 3,806 and female 1,455) have failed.
Private candidates appeared in Intermediate Part II examinations were 18,822 (male 8,127 and female 10,695) out of which 9,215 (male 3,001 and female 6,214) have passed and 9,028 (male 4,761 and female 4,267) have failed.
Boys have dominated the intermediate examinations as top three positions gone to Cadet College Hassanabdal while the first position was shared among Hassan Mansoor (740057) of Hassanabdal Cadet College and Muhammad Rashid (750891) of Military College Jhelum who bagged 965 marks each.
IN HUMANITIES GROUP (BOYS): Mazhar Hussain (701153) of Government Higher secondary School Tamman (Chakwal) stood first with 852 marks, Allah Razi (710073) of Jamia Qadriya Warsiya Gujjar Khan with 842 and Hafiz Muhammad Najabat (705801) of Darul Ulom Muhammadia Pind Dadan Khan with 836 marks were declared second and third, respectively.
IN HUMANITIES GROUP (GIRLS): Amna Shabir (716678) of Govt College for women Chakwal with 881 was declared first followed by Naila Shabir (735375) of Alfalah College Rawalpindi with 863 marks and Zahra Rashid (715210) of Govt College for Women Attock with 861 marks as second and third.
IN PRE MEDICAL GROUP (BOYS): Hassan Mansoor (740057) of Hassanabdal Cadet College has bagged first position with 965 marks, while Haroon Ayub (740063) and Owais Aslam (740056) of Hassanabdal Cadet College with 941 marks stood second and third, respectively.
IN PRE MEDICAL (GIRLS): Aniqa Idrees (745635) with 919 marks and Amna Mehmood (745639) of Govt College for Women Satellite Town Rawalpindi with 909 marks stood first and second, respectively, while Ramsha Hameed (745107) of Community Model Girls Higher Secondary School Pindi Gheb with 903 marks obtained third position.
IN PRE-ENGINEERING GROUP (BOYS): Muhammad Rashid (750891) of Military College Jhelum bagged first position with 965 marks while Bilal Ahmed Raja (750157) of Hassanabdal Cadet College stood second with 956 marks. Muhammad Bin Saleem (750168) of Hassanabdal Cadet College was declared as third with 954 marks.
IN PRE ENGINEERING (GIRLS): Ghulam Ume Farwa Malik (755081) of Govt College for Women Chakwal with 883 marks stood first and Sobia Rauf (755158) of VIP Girls Inter-College Talagang with 879 marks obtained second position, while Aisha Kiran (755279) of Govt College for Women Satellite Town Rawalpindi with 843 marks stood third.
IN SCIENCE GENERAL GROUP (BOYS): Rahat Ali (761753) with 888 marks and Atiq Ahmed (761841) of Punjab College of Information Technology Rawalpindi with 843, stood first and second, respectively and Naveed Ahmed (760728) of Gordon College Rawalpindi with 828 marks stood third.
IN GENERAL SCIENCE GROUP (GIRLS): Amna Batool (770375) of Govt College for Women Jhelum with 903 and Fehmida Aslam (771599) of Community Model Hr Sec School Kalar Syedan with 848 marks and Aisha Bibi (770198) of Govt College for Women Chakwal with 825 marks were declared first, second and third.
Provincial minister Muhammad Basharat Raja awarded the distinct students with medals and certificates. The two top position holders who shared first position were given computers.
