The United States on Monday said it was happy to see the continuing process of strengthening of Pakistan's democratic process. Asked to comment on the smooth completion of the first phase of local government elections, an official of the State Department told APP that "over the past, we have been stressing the importance of Pakistan continuing to strengthen its democratic process".
