Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan will attend the international fair being held in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang region next week.
It is for the first time that China's western region, bordering Pakistan has invited a top-level official dignitary from Azad Kashmir. This will be a major opportunity for establishing trade and investment links between China and Azad Kashmir.
The AJK Premier will be the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the fair also attended by about 200 Pakistani businessmen.
He will be accompanied by a seven-member delegation including the AJK's ministers Raja Mohammad Yaseen Khan and Sardar Yaqub Khan, said a Kashmiri leader Raja' Sabeel Khan here on Wednesday.
He told newsmen that the AJK's delegation will be on a three-day visit to the Xinjiang region, during which he will hold talks with the Chinese leaders for promoting mutually beneficial economic partnership, especially in energy and hydropower sectors.
The fair to be held from September 1 to 5 will include special Pakistan's pavilion. It would be like a single country's exhibition, promoting its rich export potential, said an official of the Pakistan Embassy.
It will also provide an opportunity to develop business links with the Central Asian States and other neighbouring countries.
