The Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate (QIE) under its new management has initiated development projects worth Rs 200 million to restore infrastructure of the industrial estate. A spokesman of the QIE said here on Wednesday that the most burning issue of the estate is to dispose off its effluent.
It was for the first time that a comprehensive and detailed analysis of any issue of the estate had taken place and resolved, a QIE spokesman said.
He said construction activity has already been started in those areas of the estate, which were mostly affected by over flowing of the sewerage.
He said that decisions, which had been pending for the years under the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) administration, were now being executed with out any delay.
The spokesman clarified that when the grant of Rs 200 million was sanctioned to the industrial estate it was also advised to opt path of self-sustainability, which is being followed.
