Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has increased 35 per cent salaries of its staff from grade 1 to 16 and allowed payment of 150 days as leave encashment along with several other benefits.
The leaders of PTCL Union have hailed the announcement of increase in salaries and package of facilities offered to the staff, a PTCL spokesman told APP here on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the officers and engineers working in different sections at various telephone exchanges including Assistant Divisional Engineers, Divisional Engineers, Directors and General Managers have also demanded of the PTCL to increase their salaries.
