The National Day of the State of Qatar will be celebrated here on Saturday by the Consul General of Qatar in Karachi. H. E. Ahmed Sultan Aseeri will host a colourful reception to mark the occasion at local hotel in the evening to be attended by leading parliamentarians, investors, industrialists, businessmen, bankers as also members of the Consular Corps.
In Qatar the festivities will include an address to the Nation by His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani who assumed the throne in 1995 and since then worked hard to upgrade the state's standard of living, overall provision of public and civic services in keeping with development needs of the people and ensuring that the highest standards are ensured in the field of education, environment protection and tourism.
