Five persons including two women were killed in various road accidents. The first accident took place on Tandlianwala-Dijkot road, where a speedy truck SGD-1488 collided with motorcycle rickshaw due to reckless driving.
Resultantly, Najma Khatoon, her son Fazzan Ahmad (6) and her cousin Anjum Shaheen died on the spot, while five women Irshad Bibi, Noor Bibi, Shenaz Bibi, Nazia Bashir, Haleema and Rickshaw driver injured and removed to hospital. Two of the injured women are stated to be in serious condition.
A mobile Police van reached on the spot immediately and arrested the driver and investigation is in progress.
An old man Saadullah was crushed to death by a speedy bus near Chiniot in second accident. In the third accident, a boy was crushed to death by wagon on Jaranwala-Khurrianwala road, last night.
