Air Blue, one of the country's leading airline having effectively launched its international operations on August l4, has once again proved its success by wining an international charter bid to transport UN peace keeping forces to various destinations in the South Asian region with fourth flight leaving September 6, 2005.
The airline with its automation savvy in new generation aircraft - the Airbus A320 latest in hi-tech information technology, e-ticketing and excellent customer service was a clear forerunner in the stakes for the bid, an airline spokesman said.
Air Blue Limited defines the Charter services being provided by the airline to various companies and organisations that is aside from their main business. Being a premier first choice airline of Pakistan catering to the local population on domestic and international front flying to and from Pakistan with no bearing on the carriers regular service.
Air Blue, among its various plans for the airline hopes to launch an entitled total number of 35 international flights a week to Dubai starting initially from Karachi and later from Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar.
Air Blue Limited became the first private airline to fully comply with the National Aviation Policy 2000 and qualified for international routes as per Pakistan Civil Aviation policies.
The Airline, recently granted permission by the Government of Pakistan to operate international flights, is campaigning to further expand its destinations to cities in the Gulf and to the United Kingdom.
The announcement last month of the signing of an aircraft acquisition with Airbus to procure a total of 10 air crafts the Airbus A320 and A330, to the tune of dollars 790 million has further strengthened Air Blue's commitment to Pakistan and its people. Its growth factor too in the short span of a year since its commencement has also reasserted Air Blue's footing in the local and international aviation industry as a major competitor.
