The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) leaders on Sunday said that Pakistani nation says no to recognising Israel, as doing so will be tantamount to stabbing a knife in the back of Palestinian people.
In a statement issued here, MMA MNAs Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, Abdul Sattar Afghani and Laeeq Khan termed the joint press conference of Pakistani and Israeli foreign ministers and "government's steps to recognise Israel" a blatant negation of the aspiration of whole nation.
They said that the nation would never recognise Israel. They charged that those talking about recognising Israel were in fact trying to please their Western masters.
The MMA leaders termed meeting of Pakistan foreign minister with Israeli foreign minister the first step towards recognising the Israeli state. They said that Israel was the biggest threat for Middle East peace, and it had been indulged in meting out the worst anti-human atrocities to Palestinian people. They categorically said that the Muslims would not tolerate recognition of the Israeli state, and if the rulers made such a mistake it would be their last day in the rule. They said that there was no place for Israeli sympathisers in Pakistan.
The MMA leaders further charged that present rulers of Pakistan were taking what they called anti-Islam steps just to please the West and America. They said that talking about recognising Israel was also a part of such design. They alleged that the rulers had made the country a salve of America. They accused the rulers of taking 'individual decisions' in presence of parliament.
They said that like all peace-loving and civilised people of the world, Pakistani people also consider Israel an illegal state and a dagger in the heart of Muslim Ummah.
Meanwhile, Rabita Secretary of Fidyan-e-Khatme-e-Nabowat Pakistan Maulana Qazi Ahmed Noorani Siddiqui alleged that Qadianis were hatching conspiracies against the Muslim Ummah in the direct supervision of Israel.
Addressing a press conference, here at Raza Library Bruns Road, he said that the meeting of Pakistani foreign minister with Israeli foreign minister in Istanbul had shocked the whole Pakistani nation.
He said that one hand "the American conspiracy" to get recognised Israeli state was reaching towards its climax, while on the other hands millions of "Fidyan-e-Nabowat" were forced to thinking what would be the logical end of giving lavish facilities and privileges by the rulers to Qadianis.
