The most commodities came under the impact of smooth supplies on the wholesale markets during the week ended on September 3, 2005. The commodities subjected to change were Urad, wheat, makai, garda Punjab, beetle chana, beetle 50x50, white pepper, mace, big cardamom, dry ginger and cuminseed.
On Monday commodities underwent variations were masoor dal India quoted at Rs 3400/3500, Urad Burma low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 1200, and superior type rose by Rs 100 to Rs 1350, wheat Mexipak old was up Rs 5 while better type rose by Rs 20 to Rs 1125, makai inferior lost Rs 800? On the gram side gram garda up by Rs 35 to Rs 2360 and better type at Rs 2410, garda dal Punjab gained Rs 60 to Rs 2360/2400, beetle chana No 1 rose by Rs 15 to Rs 15 to Rs 2090 and Rs 2140, beetle chana 50x50 gained Rs 25 to Rs 2050-2075, bajra better type shed Rs 50 to Rs 2050 but inferior type stayed put at Rs 19?
On Tuesday some kirana items generally on the losing side such as white pepper down Rs 250 to Rs 7000, mace down Rs 400 to Rs 23,400, big cardamom down Rs 200 to Rs 8000, dry ginger up Rs 500 to Rs 7600, sago up Rs 30 to Rs 1270, cuminseed down Rs 100 to Rs 3600 and darchini was quoted at Rs 2250.
On Wednesday only change was marked in barley which was down Rs 25 to Rs 1340.
ON THURSDAY GENERALLY STIDING TREND WAS MARKED: masoor Australia picked up Rs 200 to Rs 3500, Urad Burma was quoted lower at Rs 1100, Barley Sindh and Mardan shed Rs 25 to Rs 1340, wheat old down Rs 5 to Rs 1105, the new one stayed put at Rs 1150, guwar lost Rs 100 to Rs 2000/2100, gram garda Punjab shed Rs 35 to Rs 1975, 2025, and gram dal lost Rs 10 to Rs 2350/2400, yellow peas Canada shed Rs 120 to Rs 1480/1520, yellow dal down Rs 25 to Rs 1740/1780, beetle chana I lost Rs 30 to Rs 2075-2125 and beetle 50x50 lost same amount to Rs 2020/2070, cotton cakes quoted at Rs 390 and better at Rs 408 and castorseed Lasbella registered at Rs 700.
Dyes were lower such as China's Tenjin acid 216 down Rs 5 to Rs 95, Orange II 201 down Rs 10 to Rs 85, basic colours Methane Blue 2B down Rs 10 to Rs 150, acrylic dyes Golden XGL 450 percent down Rs 15 to Rs 360.
On Friday chemicals underwent following changes: caustic soda flakes Saudi up Rs 5 to Rs 39, Sodium sulphate down 30 paisa to Rs 8.50, oxalic acid China down Re 1 to Rs 39, citric acid China down Rs 2 to Rs 55, petroleum jelly down Rs 2 to Rs 71, sulphonic acid soft down 60 paisa to Rs 71, hydrosulphite China 88 pc up Rs 2 to Rs 46, same item from Germany down Re 1 to Rs 61, India's down Rs 2 to Rs 45, acetic acid - up Re 1 to Rs 75, hydrogen peroxide 35 percent Taiwan up Rs 2.60 to Rs 28.60, Korea 5 percent down Re 1 to Rs 24.50. Saturday's Urad from Burma quoted at Rs 1100-1259 in term trading. Guwar rose by Rs 150 for all station. Cottonseed oilcake with bag low type shed Rs 5 to Rs 385.
