Two youths committed suicide over minor disputes in different parts of the city during last 24 hours. According to police, Debar ended his life by taking poisonous pills after exchanging hot words with his parents at Fend Town.
In the second incident, Ramzan committed suicide by jumping into a canal after quarrelling with his father Abdul Ghafoor over a domestic dispute at Shadman area. The police have recovered the body of Ramzan and sent it for autopsy.
The police have registered cases and are investigating.
The police have arrested 11 proclaimed offenders and court absconders and recovered illegal weapons from their possession during a general hold-up in the district.
According to police sources, on the instruction of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Multan, the district police set up pickets in different parts of the district and arrested 11 POs and court absconders.
