Punjab government has decided to launch a special campaign to check water theft in rice growing areas of the province. Punjab Agriculture Secretary Fayyaz Bashir stated this, while presiding over a meeting of Rice Working Group here on Saturday.
He said Agriculture and Irrigation Departments would jointly launch this campaign with the assistance of local police. He added the efforts were being made to ensure availability of water and other facilities in rice growing areas of the province.
