Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Secretary General Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that his party would not make adjustments with ruling Pakistan Muslim League in any district from Chitral to Karachi in the third phase of local bodies' elections.
Talking to newsmen after having a meeting with Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan of PML (N) at the Parliament House, he said that the ARD and MMA would put up joint candidates for district and tehsil nazims in Rawalpindi District, where PML had nominated Raja Akhlas as its candidate for the District Nazim.
The PPPP leader said that the opposition parties would make adjustments with each other and try to field joint candidates in other districts and cities also.
Meanwhile, the PML central executive committee which met under the chairmanship of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain here on Monday failed to resolve its internal differences over the nomination of official candidates for the office of District and Tehsil Nazims.
The party sources told newsmen that all those districts have been left to open contest where party leadership was not able to field unanimous candidate.
