Piaf-Founders alliance has claimed that support from the trade and business organisations to their candidates for the forthcoming Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections is increasing.
According to a spokesman of the Alliance, associate class candidates Mian Abuzar Shad, Mian Ahmad Fazil, Khamis Saeed Butt and Shafqat Saeed Piracha under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Mian visited Ravi Road, Timber Market, Lunda Bazar and Steel Sheet market. He claimed that traders of all these markets announced their support for the Alliance candidates. In Timber Market, traders' leaders S. M. Tariq, Khawaja Ibrahim, Dr Ijaz, Asghar Ali Malik, Tanseer Malik and Atif introduced the candidates with local traders. It was informed to the traders that Alliance was working at a swift pace to ensure solution to the problems faced by the traders.
Meanwhile industrialists of Lahore Township Industrial Area would be arranging a grand luncheon in honour of Paif-Founders Alliance candidates and leadership where they are expected to announce their unanimous support for the Alliance, the spokesman added. Piaf-Founders Alliance has also published a report of its performance during the last one year claiming credit of instituting 'achievement award,' exchange of trade delegations, holding of exhibitions abroad, and various other steps taken for improvement of working of the chamber.
