Foreign Minister Khurshid M. Kasuri on Tuesday expressed deep condolences over loss of life and widespread damage caused by hurricane Katrina in US southern regions and offered Pakistan's assistance in relief efforts.
In a message to US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, the Minister said, he was deeply grieved at the destruction caused by the hurricanes.
"On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, and on my own behalf, I would like to convey deepest condolences to the bereaved families and sympathy to all those who have been affected by this terrible natural disaster" he added.
