Rescue-15 service will soon be introduced at the tehsil level to deal promptly and effectively with any untoward incident and emergency situation. This was stated by Sheikhupura District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ibn-e-Hussain while addressing a crime review meeting, says a press release issued here on Wednesday.
He awarded some policemen for good performance, and directed all officers to make patrolling more effective.
Sheikhupura district police, during the last three months, arrested 185 murder accused, 149 accused in dacoities and highway crimes, 1,119 proclaimed offenders and 625 court absconders, the release added.
The police also recovered illicit weapons, including 7 Klashnikovs, 264 rifles, 282 guns, 493 revolvers/pistols, 110 carbines, as well as 4.5 kg heroin, 70 kg hashish and 2,200 bottles of liquor during the period under review.
