Additional District and Sessions Judge acting as judge special court has adjourned till October 12, the proceedings in a case against Asif Ali Zardari, husband of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, as his counsel produced his medical certificate.
The counsel of the accused contended before the court that Asif Ali Zardari is abroad due to heart problem. He also produced a copy of medical certificate received from America. He prayed to the court to allow exemption to Asif Zardari from appearing before the court. The court accepted his plea and put off the proceedings till next date of hearing.
The accused Asif Zardari is facing the charges of drug peddling.
