Unidentified saboteurs blasted three pillars of a high transmission electricity tower of 132 kV at Sakhi Sarwar near here on Sunday morning.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Bader Sheikh Munir Ahmed told newsmen on Monday that some unidentified saboteurs planted explosive material wrapped in a piece of cloth under Wapda tower near Sakhi Sarwar, which is one kilometer away from police check-post.
As a result, three pillars were badly damaged. However, the high transmission power tower remained intact on the support of the fourth pillar and the supply of electricity continued as usual. The Police have registered the case against unidentified saboteurs and started investigation.
