Pakistan Cricket Board will judge improvement in the suspect bowling action of pace bowler Shabbir Ahmad here on Sept17 during a specially arranged match at Gadaffi Stadium.
"He will be bowling in the match and we will he giving him ample opportunity to bowl to see how much improvement he has made in correcting his suspect bowling action," said Salim Altaf, Director Cricket Operations, PCB here on Wednesday.
Shabbir was reported for a suspect action during the first Test at Jamaica during the visit of Pakistan cricket team to West Indies and on way back home PCB arranged his bowling action reviewed in England.
Shabbir went through various tests under the supervision of Dr Powal who wrote in his report that bowlers arms flexibility was more than permitted 15 degree and in most bowling actions it was near 27 degree.
"Shabbir has worked with coach Bob Woolmer and PCB's bowling panel and we will be taking a decision after seeing him in action whether he needs further rehabilitation work in correcting his action abroad under the supervision of experts," he said.
"Surely we will be reaching a decision by early next week to send him abroad or not because we want to make sure that if there is slight work to be done with his action should be done immediately", he added.
