Four high school students and a teacher will visit Japan from September 21 to 30. The Cultural Centre of the Consulate General of Japan announced this in a statement here on Saturday. It said the visit would be under South Asian High School Students Invitation Programme of the Government of Japan.
The participants were selected from the educational institutions of Karachi. During their stay in Japan, the Pakistani students along with their counterparts from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka will have an opportunity to study various aspects of Japan and exchange views with Japanese youth through visiting a high school and experiencing home stay in Tokyo.
The participants will also visit Hiroshima and Kyoto, it was further pointed out.
The Japanese government hopes the programme will provide the participants an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Japan as well as strengthen relations between Japan and the South Asian countries, the statement added.
