A local printer has served Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan and former provincial chief of the party in NWFP Nawabzada Mohsin Ali with a legal notice for the payment of the outstanding under head of printing posters, stickers and other material.
The notice has been given by Zafar Rehman Khattak, proprietor of Haram Printers situated in Urdu Bazaar, properly known as Mohallah Jangi, Peshawar through senior advocate Said Rehman.
In the notice, Khattak has asked Imran Khan and Nawabzada Mohsin Ali Khan for the payment of the outstanding for printing election material including posters and stickers for the party candidates during general polls of 2002 in the province. The total outstanding amount against the two has been estimated at Rs 370,800.
According to the copy of the notice, the owner of Haram Printers presented a bill inscribed with the outstanding amount duly verified by Nawabzada Mohsin Ali Khan, then provincial chief of PTI in Frontier province on which he directed the accountant of the party for making arrangements of payment.
The notice further said that Khattak also constrained to approach Imran Khan for making payments outstanding against his party on which he promised orally pledging that the later will arrange payment within one month positively. A sum of Rs 50,000 was paid in two instalments to my client while a sum of Rs 320,800 was still outstanding.
