Pakistan can take advantage of Malaysian experience in framing a futuristic policy approach and in undertaking successful technological ventures in the IT and telecom sectors.
These view were expressed by Raffee Yusoff, Group Vice President of MIMOS Berhad Malaysia, who is on a short visit to Pakistan to interact with key stakeholders in the scientific and technological field.
Malaysian Institute of Microelectronic Systems (MIMOS) was established as a unit within the Prime Minister department, and was given the mandate by the Malaysian Government to accelerate its development as country's main centre of electronic and information technology.
Since 1997, MIMOS has turned its R & D projects and ideas in the areas of Internet and computing, information security systems business and technology ventures and incubation fund into reality.
Rafee has visited FAST headquarter and met with Rector Dr Amir Mohammad Khan, General Secretary Rana Ghulam Shabbir and leading members of the consulting team including director Dr Aftab Maroof and executive director Hashir Ibne Irshad.
He also met leading personnel in the government and the private sector.-PR
