The Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro) is organising a one-day seminar on "Sheet Metal Press Technology" at a hotel here on September 24.
For this occasion, Jetro Karachi office has invited Hiroshi Ito, Specialist on the subject who will deliver lecture and provide technical guidance and information at the seminar.
Though this the 3rd visit of Hiroshi Ito to Pakistan, recently he has visited neighbouring countries and closely observed the technical situation there, therefore, in this seminar beside, giving lecture on sheet metal, he is also planning to give lecture on current situation prevailing overseas.
According to Hiroshi Ito, sheet metal processing industry in Pakistan is gradually improving, but to fulfil the requirements of automobile assemblers with the rapid increase of automobile production, the vendors will have to adopt latest CAD/CAM system for Die making, instead of depending on reverse engineering.
Hiroshi Ito holds a very high image of Pakistani technicians and workers, according to him, they are very dextrous and he is looking forward in his coming visit to see the advancement achieved since his last visit.
Around 200 people from top automotive vendors and assemblers are expected to attend the seminar.
