Anti narcotics force (ANF) has foiled the drug smuggling bid and seized 160 kilogram contraband (Charas) besides arresting two drug pushers.
According to the details, the Joint Director of ANF Lieutenant Colonel Wasif Sajjad received a tip off that some notorious drug smugglers are moving with a heavy consignment of drugs from NWFP towards Punjab. ANF officials promptly responded to the information and hold a blockade on GT Road at Attock.
ANF special team led by Inspector Taimur Khan stopped a silver colour Suzuki Mehran bearing registration number RIL-1575. During the course of search ANF officials recovered 157 KG of fine quality Charas and 3 KG of Charas (Gardah) in false cavities of the car.
The car was impounded besides arrest of drug traffickers Noor Wali Khan and Rehman Hassan. A case was registered against the smugglers.
