TRG is pleased to announce a major new contract win in partnership with its UK-based subsidiary iSKY Europe PLC, for the provision of telesales and sales support activities for Bulldog Broadband.
Bulldog Broadband is the brand name for the residential telephone and internet service provider (ISP) division within Cable & Wireless (C&W). Bulldog Broadband is one of just two players in a very crowded UK market to offer an unbundled service - ie it uses its own network infrastructure rather than BT's.
This enables Bulldog to put delivery of 8-megabit broadband - the fastest in the UK - at the heart of its preposition, along with a highly competitive phone package.
iISKY/TRG has been selected by Bulldog as a preferred telesales partner, driving sales of its range of value-for-money products to customers across the UK. With the size of the C&W network due to double in size by the end of this year, new offers being launched each month and a major TV advertising campaign planned in for the Autumn, iSKY/TRG are key new partners in Bulldog's sales initiatives.
This is the first major contact centre outsource contract to be awarded to a Pakistan-based business process outsource company for delivery of a live agent voice interaction service with UK customers and TRG already has a team of 30 telesales staff, marketing the bulldog offer out of its Karachi facilities, which will grow to 60 staff by November.
iSKY Europe is additionally providing call centre-based support to the Bulldog door to door sales channel and this will see a further 30 new positions created in Pakistan by the end of 2005 as this activity transitions from the UK to TRG Karachi.
Martin Shearsmith, Head of Sales Contact Centres for Bulldog Broadband said: "I am pleased to be working with the TRG group in growing our business. TRG have shown through their onshore/offshore model, a level of flexibility and responsiveness, which meets the needs of Bulldog's dynamic market challenging brand. Bulldog's decision to award this contract to TRG/iSKY is based on Bulldog's confidence in TRG's ability to deliver against stretching business goals."
Asim Saber, Managing Director of the Karachi Operations said: "We are delighted to welcome Bulldog Broadband as a new client for TRG in Pakistan. This contract win is the first of its kind from the second largest telecommunications provider in the world, from the UK and demonstrates our ability to work closely with our partner companies in the UK and North American markets to leverage our distinctive offshore advantage for major clients."-PR
