District Nazim candidate Mian Amer Mahmood has claimed that over 1400 newly elected Nazims, Naib Nazims and councillors have assured their full support to him in writing.
Talking to LB representatives during his campaign in various union councils in Data Gunj Bakhsh Town on Wednesday, Amer said that 147 councillors out of 232, of Data Gunj Bakhsh Town have promised to cast their vote in his favour. Data Town Nazim candidate Tariq Sana Bajwa, Wagha Town Nazim candidate Ijaz Dayal, Samanabad Town Nazim candidate Mian Javed Ali were also present on the occasion.
Amer decided to make the union council's approval mandatory for any development scheme prior to getting approval from the District or Town Nazim to ensure councillors active participation in the process.
