Khushab district police have arrested a suspect terrorist, as he got out of a bus from Mianwali, and recovered illegal arms and explosives from his possession here on Tuesday.
Mitha Tawana DSP has formed a special investigation team to gather information about an organised terrorist network, suspected to be operating in the region.
Working on the information provided by the team, the police erected blockades at Khushab-Mianwali road and arrested one Ghulam Mustafa and also recovered illegal arms including a 30-bore pistol, two grenades, igniter set, electric detonator, 1500-gram explosives and other material from his possession. During initial investigation, the accused reportedly disclosed his connection with an extremist group of a banned outfit.
DPO Khushab announced prizes and commendatory certificates for the police team who helped in capturing the accused.
