The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is very confident of winning the election to the office of Nazim of Karachi in spite of various claims being made by the opposition, which has put up a united candidate.
The independent councillors are reported to have assured the Muttahida Qaumi Movement of their full support.
Meanwhile, reports had also started surfacing that efforts by some persons to buy votes of independent councillors were also being made. But the Muttahida Qaumi Movement is confident that this effort would fail because independent councillors know that their votes for the Muttahida candidates will bring about a change for the better in the handling of affairs of Karachi.
