Pakistan's leading international exhibition of Textile and Garment products concluded here on Saturday at the Karachi Expo Center. The 4-day show featured only the cream of the top Pakistani manufacturers and exporters of textile and garment products.
According to a press release issued here visit of more than 50 top-notch international buyers from some 20 countries marked the networking success for InStyle Pakistan-2005. The buyers utilised the four days of the show to the maximum potential by holding detailed meetings with the exhibitors. The last two days of the show were of prime significance as numerous large-scale contractors were signed between foreign buyers and Pakistani producers.
There have been a lot of healthy and positive networking opportunities at the InStyle exhibition. One such has been Macky Industries Group of Companies from Sri Lanka that has signed several contracts with the exhibiting companies for sourcing textile and garment products into Sri Lanka from Pakistan. In addition, buyers from USA, UK, France, India, Philippines, Jordan, Hong Kong, Argentina, UAE, Bahrain, Sweden and Poland also signed various large and small contracts with the participating companies.
According to estimates, the cumulative procurement budget of the visiting buyers exceeds $5 billion.
Many of the participants effused that the event has become something that the local industry ardently looks forward to. On of the primary reasons for this has been the complete lack of other opportunities for the Pakistani textile and garment industry to exhibit and portray its advantage to the global market.
Organised by the leading event organisers in Pakistan, Pegasus Consultancy, InStyle Pakistan-2005 has managed to forge itself into one of the few textile events in the region where Pakistan can avail the opportunity of fervently marketing its products internationally.-PR
