The Government College University (GCU) held a prize awarding ceremony for the position-holders of the Intermediate Examination, 2005. Addressing the function, former Punjab chief secretary Pervez Masud lauded the GCU students for showing outstanding results in the Lahore Board Intermediate Examination 2005.
He exhorted the students to enhance their capacity building and prepare themselves for meeting the future challenges, saying the students should be honest and hard working. He upheld GCU's endeavours in promoting quality education and urged students to emulate the path of old Ravians to maintain the splendid academic history of the GCU.
GCU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Aftab said: "We are imparting quality education to students and striving for building up their careers in accordance with the present day needs."
He said that students must follow the golden principles of hard work and honesty, besides they are being provided with the conducive learning atmosphere at the varsity. Later, Pervez distributed shields among the position-holders of GCU in the BISE Examinations, 2005.
