Renowned industrialist and Member of the Managing Committee of Kati Gulzar Firoz has been elected unopposed as Chairman of the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry for 2005-06.
Returning Officer M Zubair Chhaya announced this in the election meeting of the Managing Committee held at the Kati office here on Tuesday.
According to statement issued here Masood Naqi and Shaikh Fazl-e-Jalil were elected as Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Association respectively.
Shaikh Fazl-e-Jalil, Umer Rehan, Abdul Rab, Mian Ziaul Hasan and Farhat Ali Khan were declared as members of the Managing Committee.
At the occasion, SM Muneer, the Patron-in-Chief, said that they had selected the best persons as office-bearers of the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry and assured that all of them would do their best in resolving the issues of the members of the organisation.
Newly elected Chairman Gulzar Firoz said that his election showed the confidence of the Managing Committee upon him. He vowed to serve the Association in best possible manner with his entire abilities.
Retiring Chairman Abdul Haseeb Khan extended his best wishes and congratulations to the newly elected office-bearers and members of the Managing Committee.
Shaikh Manzar Alam, S M Ilyas, Mian Zahid Hussain, Akbar Farooqui, Farhan-ur-Rehman, Dr A Samiuzzaman, Najmul Arfeen and others attended the meeting.-PR
