Rail track near Kotri repaired after blast

A blast occurred on the main railway track at about 8.15 pm on Wednesday near Khurshid Colony here, Duty Officer Kotri Railway Police Station said.
The blast ripped off a nine-inch piece of rail track, the duty officer said, adding a passer-by Khalid Hussain, who was crossing the railway line at the time of the blast, received injuries and was rushed to the hospital for first aid. Railway traffic on the down track was temporarily halted following the incident, however, railway officials restored it by repairing the damaged track, an official of railway inquiry said. The cause of the blast could not be ascertained so far; however an investigation has been initiated, DPO Jamshoro said.
