Former prime minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Wednesday said parliament is working properly and parliamentary system is also on the right track which is necessary to strengthen democratic norms in the country.
He was talking to APP here at village Adam Khan Pahnwar after inaugurating the Sui gas supply to the village. He said Pakistan is on the path of progress under the leadership of President General Pervez Musharraf.
The former prime minister added that President Musharraf always kept the country's interest supreme which he had observed while during his 20 months tenure.
Jamali said Pakistan-Israel relations should be seen in the light of global scenario.
Regarding Local Government elections, he said like first and second stage, the third phase of local government elections will also be completed in fair, free and transparent manners.
Jamali also urged the leaders of PML and its allied parties to resolve their differences. Earlier, addressing the inauguration ceremony of the supply of natural gas to the village, the former prime minister said above all they should give priority to the home land, follow the ideology of the country and serve the country with dedication.
Jamali said provision of Sui gas to rural areas is the proof that what the government promised it fulfilled and added that he did not believe in hollow slogans.
Managing Director SSGC, Munawar Baseer, speaking on the occasion said SSGC has promised with the people regarding provision of natural gas which they would fulfilled at any coast. He said there is no paucity of funds in this regard.
Provincial ministers, Dr Suhrab Sarki, Sardar Manzoor Ali Khan and MPA Sindh Assembly Naseer Khan also spoke on the occasion.
