Rector International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) former Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman on Thursday said their efforts in IIUI are centred to develop balanced personality of students with highest level of academia excellency and holistic approach to life.
He expressed these views while talking to a four-member Norwegian delegation headed by Ms Anne-Elisabith Rovde, Adviser, Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education here.
The delegation is visiting Pakistan for collection of first-hand information about the quality and system of education in the country. Prominent among the delegation members were Viggo Haalov, National Co-ordinator of Socrats Programme Denmark, Ms Rita Kumar, Chairperson Contact Committee between Norwegian Government and Immigrants and Ms Ase Rislunnd, Representative of National Agency for Higher Education Sweden.
Referring to the quality of education in IIUI former Justice Khalil added that their graduates are preferred over others for their bilingual capabilities and an understanding of Islam in its true spirit.
On the occasion, Dr Khalid Rashid, Dean Faculty of Applied Sciences, IIUI, gave a presentation on various study programmes, processor of admissions, assessments, examination, duration and equalence of degrees around the world.
He said IIUI has signed above 50 memorandums of understanding with International organisations and enjoyed a respectable status for its quality of education.
The visiting delegation took keen interest in the briefing particularly in the training of Imams programme of the university.
